Copper-clad steel conductor
Copper-clad steel at 21% to 40% IACS, bare or tin-plated, on spools or cut lengths.

What we draw
| Grade | Conductivity | Where it is used |
|---|---|---|
| 21% IACS | Standard conductivity | Grounding, guy strand, overhead ground wire |
| 30% IACS | Balanced | Coaxial drop wire, CATV messenger, shield wire |
| 40% IACS | High conductivity | RF feedline, where copper weight has to stay low |
The number that decides service life
Conductivity is what the electrical design is based on, but the copper cladding thickness and how evenly it sits around the core is what decides how the wire behaves at a cut end and in a corrosive run. A grade name does not tell you either number, so both are measured per lot and stated.
Where the wire goes
- Grounding conductors and grounding grid
- Coaxial drop wire and CATV messenger
- Overhead ground wire and guy strand
- RF feedline
- Shield wire
The five pages behind this one
| Grades & composition | Which IACS grades, what copper volume each carries, and where it is used. |
| Sizes & tolerances | Diameter range, strand constructions, and the tolerance on each. |
| Supply forms | Bare or tinned, spool or cut length, single or stranded. |
| Testing | Conductivity, cladding thickness, adhesion and diameter, per lot. |
| Ordering | The five details that produce a quotation. |
