What the system covers
| Management system | ISO 9001 certified manufacturing |
| Certificates | EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2 |
| Traceability | Heat number on the certificate and on the spool |
| Mechanical | Tensile, elongation, hardness where the grade requires it |
| Electrical | Resistivity, EMF calibration, conductivity for copper-clad steel |
| Non-destructive | Eddy-current surface inspection, 100% coverage |
| Chemical | Melt analysis on every heat |
| Third party | Witnessed testing arranged on request before packing |
What a certificate states
The difference between a document and a claim.
- The heat number the material came from.
- The measured diameter, next to the tolerance it had to meet.
- The measured resistivity or EMF, next to the minimum or the class.
- Tensile and elongation results for the lot.
- The standard the lot was tested against, named by number.
If something does not meet the specification
It is found before the spool ships, or it is declared.
A lot outside the tolerance is not shipped as if it were inside. Either it is reworked and re-measured, or the deviation is stated before delivery so the buyer can decide whether it is usable. A deviation found after delivery costs both sides more than a conversation before it.
