Ordering
Five details turn into a quotation within one working day.
What to send
| 1. Grade and UNS | For example Inconel 718, UNS N07718 |
| 2. Diameter | In millimetres, and the tolerance if a specific band applies |
| 3. Temper | Annealed, spring, or as drawn |
| 4. Quantity | Weight or length, and the maximum single length |
| 5. Certificate | 3.1, plus any property the drawing calls for |
| 6. Date needed | So melting and the drawing schedule are planned against it |
What comes back
- Price and lead time for the exact grade and temper
- The anneal schedule the grade will be run on
- The properties your certificate will state
- Whether a sample length is practical for the intended forming operation
Service conditions help
If the grade is not yet fixed, send the temperature, the atmosphere and what the part does. That is enough to narrow the family before a grade is quoted, and it avoids quoting a grade that will not survive the service.
