Supply forms
Spool, coil or cut length, in one of three surface conditions.
Surface
| Finish | Used where |
|---|---|
| Bright | Default; clean surface for welding, weaving and forming |
| Annealed | No scale after the final anneal, for parts that are not further pickled |
| Pickled | Descaled after hot working or intermediate anneal |
Packing
| Packing | Used for |
|---|---|
| Spool | Continuous length for a winder or a weaving machine |
| Coil | Bulk, for cutting at the customer’s end |
| Cut length | Straightened and cut to the part length |
Marking
- Batch number on the tag
- Grade and UNS number
- Measured diameter and temper
- Net weight and length
