Thermocouple alloy conductors

Type K to Type E, drawn to Class 1

Pairs come from the same heat, so both conductors share a thermal history. That is what makes a Class 1 tolerance mean something on delivery rather than on paper.

What we do that a trader cannot

Both legs from one melt. Both legs of a pair are drawn from the same melt, so the pair is matched before it is packed, not after.

Measured, not declared. Diameter is measured in-line with a laser micrometer at 0.001 mm resolution; the figure on the certificate is the figure measured, not a nominal.

Per-lot records. Each lot carries its own EMF and resistivity result; a calibration record for a specific heat can be retrieved by batch number.

Finish per order. Surface condition is selected per order: bright, oxidised, or electro-polished.

The five pages behind this one

Grades and compositionWhich alloys each type uses, and what each grade is bought for.
Sizes and tolerancesDiameter range, finished tolerance, tensile and elongation by size.
Supply formsBare, stranded, matched pairs, and the spool sizes we stock.
Calibration and testingWhat is measured on 100% of wire and what is measured per lot.
